JSTSE – Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE) is a Science Talent Search Exam for class 9th studying students in Delhi. The JSTSE 2017-18 will be conducted by Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi for school students. The Students enrolled in class 9th in any of the recognised schools in Govt. /Govt. aided/NDMC/ Public/Kendriya Vidyalaya/Navodaya of Delhi are eligible to take part in Junior Science Talent Search Examination 2017-18.

•    The intent of the exam is to test the students’ knowledge & skills in General Knowledge, General Science & Mathematics.
•    The JSTSE is organised at the State Level and the total 150 scholarships are offered to the shortlisted candidates.

Details
  • Any student of recognized school in Delhi studying in class 9 Govt./ Govt. aided/Public/KV/Navodaya/ NDMC, who has scored a minimum of 65% in class 8th in the academic year of 2016-2017 are eligible.
  • SC/ST/PH students who have secured 65% marks in class 8th in the academic year of 2016-2017 are eligible.
  • There is no limit or eligibility criterion as far as the Annual income of the family is concerned.

JSTSE Application form and Process

Students can apply for the JSTSE 2017-18 through their respective schools. There is no provision for individual application procedure.

Submission Guidelines of Application Form for JSTSE 2017-18

•    Head of the School will get the Application–cum–Admit Card filled by the students in triplicate and fill the Performa.
•    Three copies of Receipt of JSTS Application Performa duly filled & attested by HOS (Head of School) should be submitted at the Science Branch office between 10 AM to 3 PM on working days.
•    Applications sent by post will not be accepted in any case.
•    Attested copy of Caste/PH certificate (if any) should be attached with the application form at the time of submission.

JSTSE Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the examination for Junior Science Talent Scholarship Exam 2017-18.

Note: The candidates who are appearing for JSTSE exam must carry BLUE/ BLACK Ball Point Pen. The candidates must ensure that the stamp of their schools has been put on every answer sheet and all other Performa before sending them to science Branch through the observer.
